THE ABPsi
Announces a Book and Supply Drive to Benefit
The Martin Luther King, Jr. School for Science and Technology
Public Charter School. New Orleans, LA
During the 2011 General Assembly Meeting, a delegation of ABPsi members visited the Martin Luther King, Jr. Public Charter School for Science and Technology, located in the lower 9th ward of New Orleans. Under the leadership of their Principal and her dedicated staff, they rebuilt after being completely destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The city did not want them to re-build, and they were told that they should not. Not only did they re-build, but their new facility is amazing. Today, it is the ONLY school available to children in the lower 9th ward of New Orleans.
Although they re-built, they are still in need of books for their library, which was completely destroyed during the hurricane. ABPsi made a small donation to the school during our visit, and we now ask our members to participate in helping this school make a total recovery!
Items Needed Include:
Books for all grade levels

Early Learning Reading Materials (Kindergarten-3rd grades)
