| The same person appears twice in the author list | Keep the profile with the most articles. Move the other one’s articles across with Quick Edit, then delete the empty profile |
| An author photo shows a grey circle | Upload a headshot on the Avatar tab of their profile |
| A change isn’t showing on the site | Give it a minute and refresh. If it still looks old, ask the web team to clear the site cache |
| The Authors panel is missing | The article is open in Elementor. Use Quick Edit from Posts, All Posts instead |
| An older article has the wrong author | Open it, fix the names in the Authors panel and click Update |
| A new author doesn’t come up in the search | They don’t have a profile yet. Create one under Authors, Authors first |
